DX8000 CD pack

At the tail end of physical CD-based promotional videos authored in Macromedia Director, Pelco produced and distributed this double-gatefold carrier for a 3.5-inch mini-CD. Using the language of performance, I cropped textures and images from sports cars with close-up shots of the all-black DX8000 DVR to tease the content on the disc.

The 'performance' messaging came to life with snapshots of co-worker's sports cars, cropped tightly and used as textures.

Above: Print-ready lockup for the finished piece. Below: The original schematics called for a double-gatefold CD carrier with pouch. at the last minute, I removed the pocket and swapped in a self-adhesive CD dot. This allowed our team to move to a smaller printing press, shorten the turn-around time, and avoid a custom die charge.
